after a year of my dad mindering me to save for insurance and my endless efforts to ignore him, it has finally come to my attention that it was a terrible mistake! as i didnt realise i would grow this close to my beloved si (mainly down to you guys on fsi.com) i have fcuk all dollar to be able to afford it luckily im able to store it in my grannies garage until i have the funds. i have already read a topic on storing your car and tending to its indoor and outdoor needs. but ive decided to use this time wisely...

since i'm more focused on saving for insurance (about £1,500 and tax, MOT etc) i want to do the simple things that will make a difference to appearance:

replace front right speaker

replace clutch ratchet

replace PAS pump (to stop the F'ing whining)

grind back arches to prevent scrubbing

sort out all rust on sills and arches and tow eyes

remove rear wiper and smooth over

de badge rear

de lock it... need to check on fitting a boot popper as i know it was optional to get it in the si(?)

fit either 15" zetec alloys or 15/16" fox evo 3 alloys (cheap off ebay or the scrappy hopefully!)

then once its been on the road for a while... move onto bigger better things (central locking, full window tints, lowered, full exhaust system...)

no not going to bother as dont want to mess my electrics or interior up so i have got the door looms, electric window motors, and the central locking motors for sale if you are intrested where abouts are you from

electrics isnt too hard. I done my central locking, windows, and boot release in a day.

Bits you will need.
2x central locking units
2x electric window motors
2x electric pack door looms (have connections on them for the c\l & e\w)
1x main electric loom (runs through the middle of the dash and joins the 2 door looms together)
1x boot release mech (make sure it has the arm and 2 little plastic clips on it)
1x Si square boot relese switch (will mount where the blank plug is near the gearstick)
2x door bins with holes cut for the electric window switch
3x electric window switches (2 on drivers side, 1 on passenger)
Various length cabling and fuses to install the boot release mech.

Tools needed:
socket set
screwdriver set
soldering iron\terminal blocks
drill (need to drill out old manual window mechs)
wire cutters
rivet gun
various length cable ties
electrical tape
duct tape

The "Parts for sale" section on here, ebay and your local scrappy are best place to source the parts.
