i was going too suggest organising one for more down south but i see there's a fairbit of interest from people ooop norf so keeping it central is best

us southern lot can have an RR day any time, not often we all get too meet up for a day out

i'm gonna throw a suggestion in for June/July time, more June as thats about the only free month from show's

cant do March, April, May, August and Sept as maybe a few in bwteen that as i have RSOC shows

but i'm game for when ever really, i'll sort something out

just thought it might be nice to have a central RR day so that everyone gets to meet have a chat or whathave you. the North/South divide and all that its not too bad to sort out. its getting the confirmed numbers to turn up thats the tricky bit i dont mind sorting this out tho. was good fun last time

okay so first up is june. thats cool with me. ill see how this pans out and make a poll so its democratic..whatever that means

Leicester is a 3 and a half hour drive, 183 miles from me

A 360 mile round trip for a RR day is too much

yeah i feel people that are further down south like yourself might pass on going such a long way just for a day, i'll look into setting up an RR day for us southern fairies, so its closer too home for a fair few of us

It seems many of us travel a long way an it seems us up north just get on with it and get driving.

It just I will never get to meet a lot of the members down south unless I drive to them.

With that I don't think people should think its a long way just to put your car on the rollers... yes if thats all you do its a long way, but the reality is its a full day out and you get to meet/talk to many members and laugh at the orange ones who lock themselves out of there cars.

It could be worth organising something not too far away for afterwards to extended the day further if that makes it seem the drive more.

How about making a weekend of it, santa pod is about 50miles away, it would take me further from home but take other closer to home, of course people could turn up to both/either.

Hows that for an idea?

when we stayed @ LFE when we had the 1st ever RR day when FF featured it that was alot of fun , we stayed the night before had a few drinks and some grub in the food court then headed back too our rooms for a few drinks

By all means we all have different prioritys in life, as you say its not worth the time and a weekend out isn't possible.

On the flipside you can see why I don't want this splitting into a north/south event. If it is the case of there is going to be southern rolling road then why do us northerners drive half way down th county? surely if thats the case we should find a rolling road which is further north.

So the question is central or north/south? central is what I would prefer but if there just going to be a southern RR day meet and nobody down south is coming then we may aswell move it further north.

Thats my point, you organise a southern one and instantly you are cutting many who may have come to a cental one, to which point why bother with a central one if it will most be northerners?

Don't do a Southern one, Just keep it the 1, central, we all have to travel, so may as well make it central and keep it at SR, just suck it in and get on with it, after all the drive there and back in convoy is half the fun! Would just divide the north south even more.

Im game when ever, Post april will be better as the Rallye should be back on the road and drivable by then!

But if the south do go ahead with there's, there's AET Turbo's ooop North, they have a Hub dyno (therefor no wheelspin = more accurate results ) which us northerners could go too.

Saying that i'll come to a southern one if im given enough notice (so i expect Terry & Ben to come the northern one )

I've no problems with going down south to a RR day, but I like going to SR as I can compare my current and previous cars on the same rollers.

Central is the best IMO though, as although that's easy for me to say being on the border of the west and east midlands, ultimatly i say this because it's the best approach for everyone. Southerners and Northerners have a trek, but it's the best medium. There will always be people that will miss out or have it harder than others sadly

You can't expect me to turn up to a Sixfields unless I'm feeling especially energetic, but I'll always be at an RR meet regardless

i see both yours and percy's points, i dont have an issue with driving and if there's a few of us going then we meet up and convoy, like you say convoys are half the fun

i'll have too have a word with gordon, get some of us too sit in my boot too aid traction as i had a fair bit of wheel spin last time

but the southern one would be for people that have no intention of going too the central one purely due too the distance etc, i dont want too devide the north and south anymore than it is already,gives me a chance too see matt and ther other northerns that i dont get too see much of, plus the central RR day is there too unite us

jsuut that i know a few people right on the coast that would be up for a southern RR but wouldn't want too go as far as leciester

i dont mind coming oop norf as long as like you i'm given plenty of notice too put fuel money aside and if you put me up for the night , if jam(ben) went then i'd meet up with him and we'd cruise the open roads together

I'm bound to say SRMC would be venue of choice.
But yes, i'd be interested in going, not sure which car i'll be in, depends on when it is.

We could actually have the central one and then a 2 seperate north and south days as I am sure they is members who are further north than me who can't be bothered too.

Personally I am more than happy to go back to street racers.
