the k+n is weird, completely different to the last one. its loud from 3000to 5000rpm, lulls a bit then 5750 to 7000rpm its like vtec has kickedin and the noise is awesome :D

mines pretty quiet untill 2500 to about 5000 then it sort of peters off a bit. although i dont like to take it up that high too much :red: it does me for now :lol:

looking forward to hearing this at the meet :thumbsup:

There is like to stages on mine but its pretty consistant accross all C2 VTS's, it just goes nuts after 5000rpm.

Assuming the K&N is the same I would say its down to the car.

i ordered one, then brought a focus st :doh:

it should go ok, then a cat back will be on the cards, and with a remap should be 175bhp :D

meilack, could you do a comparison

flexi one side normal exhaust the other when you come round too getting and fitting yours?

not too sure on yours percy, from hearing it mentioned and reading it the ST exhaust and inlet side were highlighted as being restrictive, are these area's an issue on your make of car?

Unfortunatley Citreon know how to make cars and there isn't any huge restrictions really, yes I can't make thinks flow better, but nothing massive over the standard equipment.

There seems to be gains from a manifold, but everybody is de-cating at the same time (which i prefer to keep my car legal) so not sure if there is a gain from a better manifold + Cat.

There is cases of them pushing 165-170bhp, when cammed. But I really am not that bothered, if I wanted that power I would have got a clio.

Comes down to being an already maxed 1.6 where the ST is a restricted 2.0.

As I say I really interested in how it can free so much power.
