As you may know.. the mk3's interior light bulbs are much different than other cars.

Does anybody know what they are called?!?

Because i wanted some white LED ones... which i ordered (Looked the same in the pic) but they were half the size lol.. But they were from china and only cost 50p so i gave them to a friend instead of taking them back haha.
I got BA9S ones. What ones do i need?

think they may be a BA15 478 10w bulb but this web site says a 245 bulb for a XR2i

Got them today woop woop! Put them in, they fitted perfectly.
However...
They don't work. So i put the old ones back in.. it lit up! So put the LED ones back in and nothing.. :S
Confused much. I'm gunna try them on my reverse/ fog lights later and see if they work.

good old led lights not working lol. turn them 180 degrees and see if they work. they should do. its the same with all led lights

Nah they are the bayonet type. So the polarity is on the bottom and sides.

Tried them in my reverse light socket and they worked fine... i recon it's to do with the low wattage. So the car somehow thinks the lamps have blown so for safety isolated the circuit.
