Right then, its high time I updated this thread!

Over the xmas hols I did loads of work on the runabout whilst I didnt need to use it and am well pleased with how she's looking now.

I did the following but will let the pics tell the story:

-New front shockers and suspension arms
-New spax -40mm lowering springs all round
-New cat (the old one broke and was rattling )
-Standard si backbox for the sleeper look
-Genuine ford wind deflectors
-De-rusted and hammerited four si 14" steel wheels, again for the sleeper look. I brush painted these on the backs and sprayed them on the fronts where you can see, it came out really well
-New plugs and air filter
-adjusted tappets (they were miles out! )

Next job is to put a 2.0 ltr in it one the rs is done! Really pleased how she's looking now!

Looks fab Dave! Are the springs fully settled down yet? Also, do the shocks bottom out at all with the lowering springs? Only reason i ask is because on my 1.3 replica, i had a full spax shocks and springs kit, but i cant put that on the new Si because it doesnt have the anti roll bar drop link bracket So im thinking about putting just the lowering springs on for now until i can get a decent setup - coilovers lol. Ive never done just springs before, always had the full setup, so little bit optimistic about it lol.

I did search on here and FT, both came up saying its ok to do, but its best if you have the right shocks to go with the springs - which makes sense! I think if i do it, ill put my powerflex bump stops on the shocks just to be safe!
