I may end up getting rid of the one i have at the moment if i get a new setup. But its all ifs and buts at the mo

Its known as a 044 bosch pump. 200L/ph @ 5bar

Where did you get you swirl pot from ?

Had to go for a square one as im limited for space in the already cramped engine bay, if i put it in the boot id have had to build a firewall box around it. :(

Standard one will be fine for my use, its flowing enough for your 400bhp and i want less than that so im sure will be ok. :chill: If you know off any going for cheap etc on PF or likewise give me a shout. :halo:

That doesnt look too bad for the price realy... The TIG welding is pretty tidy.

The standard pump is good for 350-375bhp on a saph and they can be picked up pretty cheaply on ebay quite often. I will keep my eyes open though ;)

i take it the wasted spark driver board is internal to the ecu and you have to solder the wires into the board or do they go into the loom?....looking good on the update front

so is it a case of when your cam or cams arrive youll be slinging it back together ready for all the glorious weather were going to have :lol: ....or not as the case may be

Hi Jam,

The wasted spark driver gets soldered into the ecu. Its abit tricky as the ecu was made 20odd years ago so the solder bath that was used would of been leaded, where as most solder these days has to be RoHS compliant and lead free so can make soldering the two togeth abit tricky sometimes.

When the cams turn up, thats jus the beginning.

Ive got to get the car MOT'd in the next couple of months, then the head comes off for some major porting and polishing, double valve springs fitting then tappets and cams.

Fit my new inlet, fuel system, and try and figure out why one of my pulleys has cut thro a hose.

Then remove gearbox and fit new one, off comes flywheel for a lighten and balanace. refit with new clutch, Fit hyd clutch conversion.

then its up for a live map etc.


And amongst all of the above, i need to source a decent front diff, a complete 2wd rear end and some decent brakes.

Dont expect to see the car again this year :(
