I now have a corner in the workshop called renault corner

today ive had in 3 renaults

number one = renault cilo 1.5dci 05 plate 44k needs new ecu
number two = renault megane 1.6 8v auto T reg34k needs new auto box & auto box control unit
number three renault scenic 1.6 16v 5k plate 53k water incress in main wiring loom,all plugs rusted,needs more striping to see how far its gone

and the fords today we have had in

number one ford mondeo 2.0 tdci 51 plate 181k starter motor
number two ford focus 1.8 tdci 02 plate 123k service mot & 2 tyres & wipers
number three ford transit 2.0 tdci 04 plate 49k service & mot

i wonder who is the better car maker??

1 year of "Ford" ownership, car was on the road for only 6 of them months, rest was off the Road because it constantly broke down

2 year of "French" ownership, car never once broke down and passed MOT 1st time every time with no minors, even with a number of Track days and was always driven bouncing off the limiter

Now i can list people with the same situation and vice-versa, but the moral of the story is you can't Tar them all with the same brush, no car is perfect.

Going to lock this as im all for a healthy fun Vs debate but i can see this becoming a bare fist brawl and just become out of hand.
