i havent really done much to si since its been sat in the garage (6months now) apart from clean it and slowly get parts for it that need replacing

got a brand new rear anti roll bar bracket
brand new fog light surround
genuine ford headlight protectors
cat exhaust hanger bracket as one of mine snapped
and 2 brand new genuine ford under car heat sheilds to tidy it up underneath

i havent fitted the headlight protectors yet, but i am on the look out of some new genuine ford headlights as it at the moment it has newish pattern ones and they dont line up as good as the proper ones

gave the runabout a good clean so i could get some winter pics of it clean and put ford badge back on the boot as well and i forgot to say it also passed its MOT first time 2 weeks ago so im pretty chuffed with it














i do have a few plans for the car next year one is to tidy the bodywork up a bit as the drivers side wing is bent and been filled with filler by the previous owner so will be getting a new wing on it at somepoint

pretty peeed off atm fitted the headlight protectors to my runabout as my si has pattern headlights and they didnt fit very well, was being very carefull fitting them didnt think twice about closing the bonnet as i recently adjusted the bonnet to light up nicely with the wings etc so it was all factory... close bonnet all appeared good went for a drive to get some lunch had another look at the protectors all was good then when i got back.................. one was cracked dam it.... really gutted, at the end of the day i gotta keep my chin up and not be too worried about it or think i could have sold them i did get them for nothing with the car im breaking...........accidents happen

i know i defo recommend buying brand new ones if some one has some lieing about as fords dont do them anymore, second hand ones feel brittle to me after being on another car for 15years

That sucks about your headlight protectors they cost a fortune.. there's some on ebay at the moment at £80 methinks...

slight update fitted the head light protectors to the runabout not sure if i should keep them or sell them cause of the crack what do you think? is it really that bad? as im not sure









also bought one of them really cheap white dials sets on ebay for the runabout my mrs cut them out and i fitted them quick cheap mod that only cost 5quid really pleased

bought some rs turbo pop outs for it last week and anti roll bar bushes for the front andrear and some serivce parts it will need when headgasket is done, slowly does it and i took the bonnet raisers off too now

Same thing happened to my Headlight protectors on my Si, im sure i've still got the none broken one, can't remember which side, but if i find it i'll give it to Ben next time he comes up & he'll be able to pass it onto you.
