I have no idea how you can say that you can't see how anyone would want an ST over other cars........the spirit of the xr2i/rs turbo was reborn in the ST after the wayward models of the mk4/5 fiesta. The mk7 is a great car, i looked at one, but didn't want to spend £12k plus on a fiesta, especially as this ST is near enough half the price. And in my opinion the ST is a good looking car

I don't know why there is such an anti-ST witch hunt on here......i've already said if people don't like it then don't bother writing about it

i like the way the ST drives as you can make progress without redlining it
I know the ST is not perfect, i haven't and won't say it is..........but there is always a french hatch is god's gift message preached on here......
Tune the C2 engine all you want percy, I'm not one for bragging rights, and if you make it faster then my ST, i will assure you that i won't lose any sleep or cry about it

Coming back to the point where you say you don't understand why people have an ST, maybe you should pop over to the STOC, where the unblinkered people love an ST, even though some have moved on to VXR's and in some cases an R26.R but they still have good things to say about the ST they have owned as they are car enthusiasts
The bottom line is, the ST is still a fun car, even if it isn't in the god like status as the french hatches........
