Hi, I’ve just brought a 1995 1.6 si and I love it. Sadly I’m a total gimp when it comes to cars and I have a very ‘duh’ question I hope you can help with.

On the dash between the clock adjust thingy’s there’s a little red light that flickers when I start driving the car and goes off after about 10 mins or so. When it’s flickering the rear screen heater wont work (it's button light flickers when pressed). Once the little red light goes off the rear screen heater seams to work just fine.

My question is .. What? and Eh?

i think it might be your pats? not sure whay it would affect your rear screen tho , hopefully someone a little better informed than me will be able too help you out

basicaly the alarm light... which is odd... because if it does have one it dosent seem to be working... electrical mahem somwhere?

pats is fords own anti theft thingy, if its playing up or slipped off from around the ignition it tends to stop the car from firing

your ok with starting etc?, really not sure, might be a bad earth somewhere?!
