hi guys im very interested in putting a 2.0 mondeo engine into my 1.6 16v fiesta si, i was just wondering what things i will need to change on the car to make this work? will i have to put in a new gearbox? dampeners? i assume i will need better brakes, if so which ones do you guys recommend? also will any mondeo 2.0l engine fit or will i need a specific type? (sorry im a bit of a newb on this) thanks guys

hey bud done this to mine..its basically a straight swap...all you do is use the 1.6 alternator,gearbox, and all anciliries,plug and play,as for brakes upgrade to some decent pads and discs or go for the 2.0 brakes off a mondeo...all you have to do is drill the hubs to 12mm (dont quote me on that al tho ive done it to mine) and they'll fit...any more help pm me matey

as leeny says basically a straight swap, providing you use a silvertop 2.0 from a mk1 mondeo.

have a check at these threads too, but as the others have said its a fairly easy conversion, you also need too swap out the ecu for a 2.0 one, but it needs to be either a DESK,DEEP or DEWY ecu and a 2.0 maf
