i currently have a staight threw exhaust system with no silencer and a savage big bore on the back. Other day when came from halfords i noticed a man under my car :s, confused and angry i grabbed him to pull him out to find out it was a police man , he later sezied my car for no cat or silencer, but what i want to know is, is it illeage to check under my car without my notifcation first ???

If he was vosa, then no, he can do it all day long pretty much! Not sure about normal police though, you should check up about that, phone up vosa and ask them, give them all information on the seizure notice too if they need it. I would think its to do with being too loud and unfit for the road.. dunno though!

Also on the section 59 thing. have you had one previously? if so thats the reason...

What grounds did they give for taking it? what documentation were you given?

Technically what is under your car is on public display so you can't really do anything about anyone having a look, if they where to start removing parts etc then it would be a different story.

I do keep warning people on the C2 scene was many are running decats, its really not worth the hassle.

yours is decat jas and its real quiet on tick over and driving round normal, but when you give it beans it gets loud, yeah i had mine checked for a cat not so long ago but i just dont have any silencers, but my best mate owns a mot garage so if i get any problems i will just take it there and get there little gay slip stamped
