just wondering has anyone ever decatted a 1.1. mk3?
ive been umming and ahhing to do it for a while my main worry is that ive had the silencers taken out and im thinking without the cat it will be stupid shit loud dont worry im not expecting it to add 100bhp by taking the cat out just want a bit of banging and flameaggeee

it really isnt worth the effort to be honest! i had to do my 1.3 because it collapsed and i needed to use the car..it made no difference whatsoever. if its an injection you stand more chance of finding an honest politician than getting it to pop and bang..even my old and well fucked 1.1 with carb on wouldnt do it. unless it was provoked with the ignition key...then after it wrecked the exhuast i stopped doing that little number.

if you want snap crackle and pop...get a car that hasnt got a sewing machine motor to begin with

Im thinking of making up a decat for my 1.4 fsi, just for the fun of it.
my exhaust is all over the place atm, 1.4 manifold and down pipe, 1.1 mid section and 1.6 xr2i back box :$.
am i right in saying the car will be louder with a decat?
