will a 2.0 conversion into a mk1 ka be the same as it would into a si? i assume not because its cvh, not zetec to start with, but im really hoping it is. anybody?

I don't believe it is, it would be easier to put a RST engine in.

you have to cut out some of the slam panel, put actual bonnet vents in the bonnet to stop the cambelt cover hitting it, as well as bonnet raisers to fit the induction pipe and its so cramped anything that needs doing is an engine out job, but apart from that, easy

thats what i read on a fast ford featured one

it needed cossie vents in the bonnet, that were actual vents

2.0 zetec = 130bhp reliable na power in a light car

same with a rst engine minus maybe reliability

the 1.3s are cvh right? so would share mounts? if so then ill go rst, as it saves the ballache. reliabilities not an issue, it wont be for the road

nope, the 1.3 is a endura-e or later ones are duratec so not a cvh, so still a mount problem

Mount changing isn't that hard for a cvh so i have been told

even an na cvh one would be quick 108bhp and 110lb/ft in a light ka

Fit a RST engine.

Zetecs look too cramped.

Seen loads done, fair enough but it looks a right mess specially with the bonnet options.

Power to weight wise, not much difference than a fiesta other than your driving a girly looking shell instead lol
