I'm absolutely delighted. When i first got my RS Turbo my ultimate dream was to have it rolling on 5 spoke 16" compomotive MO's, but realised very quickly that I couldn't afford them by a long way, so resigned to 16" mondy wheels painted anthracite. I got the mondy wheels but they still needed spraying and they also needed tyres on them, but I was going to sort all that out next year before the car went back on the road.

But yesterday everything changed! I found a set of the exact design of 16" 5 spoke compomotive MO's that I wanted, all brand new never been put on a car, along with four brand new toyo T1-R tyres on them, for less money than it would cost to buy just the wheels themselves..........so I had to get them!

I'm soooooooooooooo happy!!

sweet rims dude. i like those alot ..curious question..when were they made?....its stamped on the back where the centre goes on the hub, im sure you got a good deal. i seem to remember mine were something like 160 odd quid a rim altho i did ask for those rediculous rally inserts

Did you get the paint to spray your mondeo wheels? I wanted to do mine antracite but didn't know what colour to go for (sea grey etc..) looked in halfords and couldn't decide

as for the date stamp... mine were in order..and i knew it cos the date on them was the day before they phoned me to say they were on thier way... they do still make that design..or they did last time i was bored and looking at thier site and dribbling!

Nope. all 5 went with the car when it went to the dude whos caged it and is now proceeding to replace panels at an alarming rate! the reason i got those is it was going to be tarmac rally themed..and it needed to be an upgrade in the cool stakes against the escos rims....ultimatley i lost heart and after a few personal events it went somewhere i knew it would be looked after and see the kick up the arse it needed on the jobs that id been flagging behind on!

i have spoken to the owner in question who did say theres a possibility of it going back up for sale as he's going to need the room for another project that was kinda there first..so it may come back, at the moment there are alot of details if buts maybes and inbetweens....

anyways enough of my hi-jack, look forward to seeing your wheels on the car dude.

Would be funny if you ended up back with the car after the other guy had done all the work that you hadnt got round to doing, would be like someone taking your car away from you, making it amazing, then giving it back to you again! Those wheels looked awesome on it anyway mate!
