if you slide something down one side (like a pin) from front of the connector you should be able to free it.

Argh. The wire is just breaking away from the cable.
Hmmm :frown: nothings ever simple.

you shouldn't need to pull it hard. If you look at the side the wire goes in you should be able to see which side the clip is holding on. insert the pin from the other side where the clip is on and it should unclip it, keep the pin in and pull gently and it should come out.

Wow. All works, and wow. The front speakers are really good. Nothing like normal standards that crakle and distort with a bit of volume. Wire up the sub and wait for the 6x9s and I'm away :)

I think Peugeot stopped using cheap nasty paper cones in their speakers in the 50's like every other marque :lolz: I put my 2-way £40 Alpines in the front of the GTi and noticed zero difference from standard.

I noticed this on my C2, the standard speakers are excellent all I have done is added an active sub and it all sounds perfect.

I wouldn't say the best :hmm: the speakers don't make up for the rest of the car being as rubbish as it is :lolz: at least it seems the MPG is good.

So my subwoofer is in, all the wires running through, as usual the last thing you do always has difficulties.
Anyone got any experience with a battery like this? I need to know how to undo both of the terminals, as you can see there pretty greasy and horrible, my problem is that they don't unscrew and underneath looks like theres some clips, which i cant seem to wedge open, so either theres another way around it or I have to struggle some more. Just thought i'd look for some advice from you guys and try it tommorow.

Heres some pics

:lolz: French terminals. I see you're gonna have lots of head-scratching with this car.

Here's a heads-up: It's French, nothing makes ANY sense. The whole car is an after-thought. :lolz: :lolz:

This is why I ain't doing much to it! I'm thinking when my new 6x9s arrive there isnt going to be any wiring already waiting for me like in the 1.4 and 1.6 :squint: the battery in a fiesta.. so simple, undo a nut which is right there waiting. Somethings Ford design aren't all that bad it seems :hsugh: :lolz:

I have come up against the same connections.

With both the Saxo and the C2 I followed where that metal thing on the live is going.

In the C2's case it is a nice chunky connection straight to the fuse box, I actually connected my amp wiring at this end.

Hope this helps.

ok, so now im this close thanks to the 106owners. But The battery terminal dosen't fit as the part where the cap screws on is in the way, does that come off? and when it come to it will the battery cap still screw on? as the bit thats going into the cap is just metal with wires then connected to it, So it seems like i'd have to take them all off the cap or something which id rather not do.

Thought someone might have an idea on here.. Lol

wrong side...

Not sure on yours, on mine that metal bit went to the fuse box where I could connect things up.

There must be a simple answer, you can't be the first to fit an amp in a poverty spec 106.
