bit of a silly question but just want to be sure, can you use the XR3i 130bhp ecu instead off an RS1800 ecu when converting a xr2i 1.8 to 130bhp spec?

depends..if the car it came from is internal edis external pats then yes..but i dont think either the early or late escort ones have the right combination. it is possible to swap the pins over in the loom plug but youll have trawl the internet for that information as i certainly havent got that!

I've now got an escort xr3i ecu will fit it tomorrow and update whether it works or not
