CAFs pattern mounts lasted 3 months on my old mk3.5

So i went to ford for peace of mind really

although they want £67+vat for a wishbone :nerd:

scotty: ah, in that perspective, mine were cheap :lol:

Use decent nuts with the pattern mounts and make sure there correctly tightened and i never had any problems with mine in my 2.0l, the gearbox was the weak point for me (5 in 6 months fo-shizzle) :lol:

cheers

didn't go into to much cleaning, as it has a rocker cover gasket leak :doh:

but it needs to come off to do the stem seals so will do both at the same time

** edit **

just brought the tool from burton power to compress the valves so i can get rob to do the stem seals without taking the head off :thumbsup:

new rocker cover gasket will be fitted at the same time of course :thumbsup:

i only get a puff of gray/black smoke when i get to about 4k ish revs but only sum times is that normal?
