under my xr skirts and arches I've got rust, obviously.
I was wondering if someone could help with everything I need to get it off and covered up. And rust proofed, well not completley as obviously it'll come back eventually.
All I need is a list and just breifly what to do, the screw on my kit are not coming off, so that makes life a little more difficult any ideas? I was thinking Alot of WD40. And once out would new screws be better?
This will be good for anyone who wants to rid of rust anywhere really. So you won't just be helping me (unless I'm the only thick one)

Meaning screws on your kit you mean the arches??

They are a bitch and you could give it a bash to get them off, but most likely will just snap.

Skirts just drill the rivets out.

Cool that's a start. Yeah the screws on the arches, havent actually looked at the skirts, I assumed they were the same.

Sandpaper
Hammerite rust eater stuff
Hammerite anti rust paint


Sand down the surface rust, use the rust eater stuff, then paint it with hammerite (all the bits you wont see as it will be under the kit)

If any holes then either cut them out and fiberglass the holes up or weld up

How they are fitted on a Si can vary on who fitted them, they were bonded on to my Si.
