Yokos.

R888s will be useless on a road car like the 2i. You'll need to warm them up to get the full benefit and you'll never do that on the road. A friend had the Yokos on his S1 rallye, similar weight and size to the 2i and he found them as good as Eagle F1 GSD3s.

How much are the 888s in 13" then? I priced a set of 16s up and they were £130 a corner. I'll drop to 15s if I buy some.

What are the Conti's? Sport Contact 3s are supposed to be very good.

Payday for me today but need front tyres and my front brakes are grinding :lolz: Got some killer brakes lined up, unsure about tyres now. Stick with Eagle F1s or try something new? I'll get some R888s when I drop it on 15s. Brawp!

Sintered metal Carbon Lorraine RC5/6 pads, need to find out which is more hardcore. Brembo High Carbon discs. Had the pads before, but they ate through my discs in less than 6 months, too tough! Braking is unbelievable though, I never cooked them and they just took anything you threw at them.

Another vote for Yoko's A539, depends how much money you want to spend.

Remember too check something with a slightly lower profile. Michellin Pilot Exalto PE2's cost me 230 fitted for 4 instead of 400+ for 50's instead of 55's.

only difference apparently is less sidewall flex / slightly more road noise. So basically no difference in reality!.

No point in modifying a car if you're going to skimp on tyres! It's the only point of the car in contact with the tamac so any power mods or handling mods can never proform to their potential.

Save for better tyres.
