Driving sensibly I just got 263 miles out of just under 30 litres. Anyone fancy working out the mpg for that?

My fiesta use to do a lot of miles per gallon, most due to the fact that a lot of its miles where it being towed for yet more repairs. (this is not a dig at fords, just the one I owned)

I just got back from Gloucester half A roads 50-70mph and motorway

Did 81 miles and havent done quarter of a tank yet

58mpg

102.9 * 30 = £30.87

30 / 4.5 = 6.666

263 / 6.666 = 39.4

Am I right? If so that's f***ing good considering my 1.4 economically would only do 200 to a tank :S

i did 60 miles to £20 the other week

Me fills up every few weeks with £58-ish of VPower, and it tends to last me anywhere between 330/420 miles depending on how nice I am.

went from south wales to nottinghamshire yesterday to pick up my 1.6 engine from dougxr2i

my 1.4 managed to do 392miles to a full tank. around 38 quid worth of fuel. crusing around 60-70 mph all the way.

so how many m.p.g is that?

its usually crap, does about 60 miles to a 10er.

To me when I put my foot down and see my mpg drop it feels even better

I'd only accept that if I had decent power, in the range of 200bhp

No excuse for cars to have poor mpg nowdays when you can do near on 50mpg with a VAG TDI with around 180bhp

does it make sense that my shitter has crap milage, the only thing i can think is that because of it being a small engine i have to put my toe down to get anywhere and end up using more fuel, even if i tootle about i only get about 270 from a full tank!!
