Agh! What should I do people? I have a dilema.

Diamond White : 110bhp
93k on the clock and runs well. Bit rough when cold, but drives like an animal in a straight line. Great laugh and never ceases to amaze me sometimes when i boot it. The paintwork is good mostly, but the hatch is rusty and needs replacing to make it look decent. Seen a mk5 bumper on ebay for cheap, with a smooth boot this would look cool.

That's all the mods on it. If i were to keep it i'd like a full G-max kit or something, bought 2nd hand. New hatch and then thats it really.

Smart bodywork, nice looking car really. Few nicks on it, but only noticable to an eagle eye. This is slower but handles far better than the 2i. It's worth more and newer and is great fun to drive. Just needs either a new engine or a new gasket sticking on it. Oh and the motviation to do it



I just don't know what to do with either of them really. Ideally I'd like the XR2i sold and use the money to fix the Si. I'm planning to buy something super sexy early to mid next year, when i graduate from Uni so either car would only be kept till then really, unless i become too attached

What you guy thinks I should do? Baring in mind I'm quite poor

My Dad can sort the Si out. The taste of power with the XR2i makes me think I'd like to keep it, but then I could chuck a 1800 in the Si and have more fun. (1800, as there's far more about and cheaper). The XR has so much more scope for tuning though

Wouldn't ask a lot for the 2i really. It'll have 6months tax on it from tomorrow. Offers around ?600 really. It'll mechanically sound.

Sy - I'd like a turbo but the added cost of insurance and then I do a fair amount of miles and wouldn't wanna run it too much. Tempting though. Maybe... Either way, everything will have to be gone by June at the latest next year to make way for the.

As you have thought but an 1800. with a few mods will be pritty much as quick as a 2.0.

I will have some 2.0 cams up for sale very soon as they come out of my replacement engine as I have put the piper cams in.

I asked someone to photoshop it on, but they got distracted (BEN!) Think they will look different, fed up of seeing Escort GTi ones on them and other such wheels. Only a few I know with them on.
