Quick update.

Just got down on the deck, whack my iPhone on flashlight and had a look at my back box, the downpipe all looks standard. Back box says "powerflow" on it. Which is good, a make
I've hear of, are they any good though? Because I was going to upgrade my whole exhaust system so that it sounded sweet, and is de-carted etc. Because between 2000-2500rpm mine goes silent and After about 4000rpm also. I want more consistent nice noise.

And also, just ordered my tinting spray. Am going out today after work when I wake up to halfords as my cd player bust again. I think it's the earth again but I don't know one wire from the next. Going to get my sump leak fixed and change my springs, this is provided somewhere will do it cheap for me. Going up the scrappy for a new top hose foe the water leak. Just need to find somewhere that will weld the metal that holds my back box up. Can't think of the name but it's just a bit of metal rather than an rubber exhaust mount.

Will update you tonight on what I actually get done. Ha

No! Lol I'm at work. I'm a bit tired why? Does it make no sense or something?

Or is it the fact I took in the time and wrote "tonight" and "back from work and wake up" as I finish at 6am.. Lol

Ok, Due to popular demand..

I think they look pretty good, Done pretty craply by me.. but you can't tell from a short distance :)

Got my exhaust welded back up

Image

Went to the scrap yard, got three clips of a top hose.. During this time I got hammered in the face with a load of anti-freeze :(
Then I just couldn't get to the last clip.. So i had to give up which really pissed me off. Its the perfect match engine and I just don't know how to get the parts off! and my mechanic is busy for the weekend, otherwise i'd have the misfire and all the leaks sorted!

Image

Not happy about this patch of rust.. Anyone know the best way to treat it? or is it a case of leave it be..

The lights look better now Chris. Why did you leave the little bits in the corner though? And you should have taken the while light unit out to spray them too lol, now you have red bits around the edge :P

I think - dont quote me on this, but i think adding a thin layer or 2 of lacquer will help to make the rear lights look 'shiney' again, and will protect the spray on there from coming off. Im sure i seen someone do it, it looks so much better. All to do with what you want them to look like though at the end of the day! :)

And as for the boot, only way of treating it is a new bootlid.. prob get one in the same colour pretty cheap if you hunt around :)

For them to be legal don't you have to have two red reflectors? That's just what I've read about anyway. So there my excuse for reflectors :)
As for the laquer thing I'm trying to get hold of a can from my old si as I had three in it, just finding a time my mate is free to get a can
And I did have them out. Just didn't think those bits would show up :P you can't see them when looking dead on might buy another can to go over it again. See what happens.

I don't drive worse with coppers I just keep checking my speed and mirrors. It's annoying more than anything. I have seen some examples of people who do stupid things because cops are nearby

Anoter things. My mechanic and I have found two lovely rust holes under the rear arches. So they need filling or I'll fail my MOT

Im sure the reds bits you left out dont reflect though, the strip either above or below the indicator is the reflector. I might be wrong, they might reflect.. cant remember as i havent had standard lights on my car for a loooong time lol.

And dont fill the rust holes  lol Get them seen to properly.. with a welder! lol

She's now dropped -45mm I think it is, and by the amount its gone up I can only assume it was dropped 60mm before

My latest problem, when on the way to sonisphere I had an egged tyre, didnt realise, thought the arch was rubbing, so I tried to remove it.. screws were too rusted on, so I ripped  Yes Stupid, and regretted it. Now, I have a rattle over bumps and sometimes generally, which turns out what you can see in the pic. I cut the holes so they can slide into the screws again, but I dunno, is there a way I can restore it? Or is it new arch, get the old screws out somehow, and new screws in?

Image

New lights in, Not sure why the right one has a slight yellow tint, its a little annoying, but hey.

ok, new induction kit fitted, my thoughts are not quite correctly as I have a couple brackets and stuff still left over :P

The only thing I can say is.. I dont hear any different in sound, which is the one of the main reasons you buy them. It might be because my exhaust kicks in at the same time the air filter noise would.. Or i've just not done something right, someone please explain if they see something wrong in the pics :)

Image

New superchip fitted, certainly feels a little more responsive, did say that it should bang and pop on overrun, im not about to sit there revving my engine like an idiot trying it.. Because I don't think it will lol only because I a have a cat, anyone know whether or not it will?

Image

And does anyone know if this is meant to be plugged in somewhere? :lolz: :lolz: :lolz: :lolz:
