Shocking I know but I have spent a good part of today messing with my car.









The most interesting part is of course the induction kit, it is actually proven to give gains in power, it should do really as it is a custom design for the C2 VTS.

Just need to paint the cam cover and part of the battery cover red to finish off, blue and chrome engines are so 90's!

Not so visable mods are some bosch super 4 spark plugs and a full oil change too.

As mentioned the induction was designed for the C2, there is actually loads of room where the filter is and its away from most of the hot stuff, its been proven to be better than any other induction on the C2, will see what happens on the RR day.

The slippery slope has sort of started, had a good look at my exhaust when we had it in the air and its not going to last forever so a stainless system is on the cards.

Once that is done it is possible to get it up to 150bhp with a £200 re-map, so it would be rude not to.

The other stuff is basic red conduit, can get it from ebay. I very cheap and effective mod if you ask me.

Thats the stuff, it ended up red by default as I could get the induction in red/blue/black, black is boring and I am not having blue in a blue car.

I actually think the contrast to the car looks great myself.

Looks good regardless. I'm not a fan of colours in the engine bay bar black and silver, but it's nice and tidy.

Being a calm driver it usually stays quiet But when I boot it you know about it. You will learn at the RR.

Must say I am not big into modding engine bays, just thought what can I do for not much money

All mods this time around are more focussed and planned, I did a lot of research on induction and then waited for that kit as they are made to order, the same company are in the final stages of making an exhaust and manifold plus sports cat for the VTS so I am waiting to see what happens there.

Things like brakes and suspension are amazing as standard and may get small upgrades when they need replacing, the wheels are fine so why mess.

I have looked at cams which could get it to 165bhp, but the cost etc just doesn't seem worth it, if I get 145-150bhp then it really will be a truly amazing car.

I do plan to own it for a long time so this isn't all going to happen straight away.

Well I am sticking to my rule of its not broke don't fix it, I was doing a service and the air filter needed replacing... so not too shocking.

Black and red certainly works, and costs less!

It does feel odd now compared to previous cars as I have always had an exhaust and induction kit at the same time so there has always been a level of noise, with induction only it only makes a noise if I drive it hard.
