exhaust is a good mod Op, sounds nuts and the overrun is

s'all good, a few annoying things:

*ding in the drivers door near the handle - didnt see it before just noticed it, will get dent repair people on it.

*the coolant was on min mark (WTF? its supposed to have been serviced)

*the oil is fresh but is on the midway point - again, seriously?

*these phase ones dont have a dash light for side lights or lights on

then there is the odd scratch and what not but it is 4 years old come january.

the wheels had new pirelli p zeros last november, the ford garge have whipped three of 'em off and im riding on "maxxi" ditchfinders. tight fuckers didnt even do the fourth, the rims themselves have the odd scuff, someone couldnt drive obvoiusly.


but its been serviced (aparently) and comes with 12 months ticket and 6 months tax so it aint all bad. and with 2 years warrenty and two years AA recovery free it aint bad!

inside is spotless, need to rip out the 3 tier stereo, cut the slats and get a double din jobbie with blutooth and ipod control. when i have the cash mind.

I'd service it again TBH. I serviced mine after about 500miles of rolling off the forecourt. Jokers didn't do the plugs as they were £60 a set Dealers are tight as funk. Why do we pay the extra again?

Dealer I bought the Clio from had to had the scratches sorted, service and MOT obviously but also had to have a new climate control panel in it at my request and a sizeable chunk of the engine loom as it melted before I picked it up I bet they spent £1k on it before I even paid a penny. I know the climate screen was £400.

aye, bearing in mind its a big dealership:

they didnt even look my car over, he glanced at it, started it and ticked it as immaculate!?!? never mind the big chip in the windscreen or the trolly dings. didnt even open the bonnet.

i will service it again, fresh oil/filter, plugs and what not.

the dealership told me that they had taken in cat-d motors before. wtf? eek!

6 cd in dash changer (going when i find the right unit) piano black optional dash, look hard and you can see two matt black stripes running down it. wow.


nothing special by day but at night the silver glows red.

plans for now:
get some cash,
get rid of the cd player, cut the dash for a double din jobbie
K&n and flexi downpipe
get shot of the ding in the drivers door - ive heard hot air followed by dry ice is supposed to work. hmmm

apparently i'll never need to polish the car due to the "pureguard" crap they put on it, again im dubious, maybe one of deatailers could explain?

alright mate the pure guard is a 2 stage polish which should last 2 years but more like 6months to a year it is good though better than most of the other crap they should have done the interior and the glass aswell also they should have given you a bag with the rest of the stuff in it there should be enough to do the car for 5 years should think so tbh tho its £250 for the stuff hope that helps

Op, i have an unused kit that i brought with my focus st if you are interested in it

you have to reapply it every 6 months

my mate works for vauxhall i know i said a bad word but any time they fix a car they are supposed to get the valeters to apply this and leave the rest in the car but he just brings it home and hands it out to me and the rest of the lads so if your gettin it for nothin it aint that bad and guard x is also the same my other mate is a valeter for another garage and thats what they use

Alex - fair point, it hasnt gotten rid of any scratches and i think could have done a better job with T-cut and turtle wax.
