Quick update shall we.
Old 1.4 - SOLD :) finally.

New 1.6. A real money burner already.

At first it was the spring on the drivers side front. It snapped in two places. Replaced that spring (50mm) with a 40mm spring. Still haven't had time to get the other three fitted.

I have a sump leak still, no time To fix that so far.

Top hose has two splits in it

And to top it off. The cars misfiring. Changed the spark plugs and made no difference so were onto leads etc.

So spent so far. Car £600, springs £110, spark plugs £20. Much more
To spend but the tally so far £730.

oh and a new tyre. Because there was too much weight in the car and it rubbed against the wheel arch and made an egg :) £40. So £770.

when you change things like plugs, leads etc, make yourself a note with the millage when you change them. That way you now how much millage the parts have covered.

I'm sat at work on a 12 hour shift playing playstation and my alarm went off. No real reason so i went back, went back out and it locks and unlocks fine. But! (and this is me being incredibly picky) it doesn't chirp and the indicators don't flash anymore! :( it was good when it did that. Anyone got any ideas why?

Ooh. After some fiddling with wires because my cd player isn't getting any power the chirping is back.
But my cd player is still broken. At first it cut out now and again. Then it wouldn't work for three days, then it worked for like two days, and now it's not at all. If I moved it and fiddled with wires at the back it would work. I'm thinking a loose connection :S but I dunno. Dunno know where I can go to get it fixed either ! Best place?

nice car mate  i paid £900 for mines with alot of work already done to it but you always find things wrong with them i ended up stripping and rebuilding the head on mines a month or two after getting it coz it was using oil it only cost me £40 for the head kit i thought winner not too expensive then i kept finding more and more little things needing done like engine mounts, servicing ,and timing belt etc it ended up costing about £350 -£400 but at least i know my car was sound afterwards

I would think it would be mate, and then you will have a really individual car that stands out and with no problems for the kind of price ppl pay for a standard second hand boring common car, thats one reason I like my si so much, how it stands out from all the other samey boring cars on the road! 8-)

Ok, So I cleaned out my interior yesterday because it was annoying me all the crap everywhere, only to find myself a dew dings here and there, nothing major, there just annoying.. I knew about one or two already but some are just like  I know there nothing special but they are there, which is annoying.

Most of the interior bits seem to be held together with this "Tac" stuff hanging out everywhere
Image

Steering wheel is worn most of the way around
Image

after a bit of driving the interior light does this.. and when put back after a while it does it again, annoying.
Image

Oh.. Wheres that back seat bolt gone.?
Image

Definately going to be re-carpeting
Image

This is on both sides, Both "held" together with the same "tac"
Image

funnily enough while taking these pictures, this just kinda dropped off.
Image

The whole area with the temp, Cd player, it all wobbles and probably wouldnt take alot of effort to pull out, same with the gear and handbrake surround. This guy has fitted a neon light switch (With no neons...) Im thinking him, or a previous owner has literally ripped everything out. I found two loose wires with connectors coming out the railings of the drivers seat, I swear theres so many wires I don't know what half of them do!

heat sliders just pop off anyway, just bond them on unless your planning on taking the centre console out anytime soon. Get a self tacking screw on the middle of the rear bench to hold it down. The covers on the side of the seats should just clip in, if the clips are broke just pick some up from a scrappy or look on ebay. As far as the steering wheel goes again go to the scrappy or ebay and find a fiesta or escort leather one. Air bags are easy enough to get out, just leave your battery disconnected over night as not to set it off.

Ford 1 - 0 French

Some fat guy come flying up next to me in his 106. Went hammering around the roundabout, so I promptly obliged and beat him coming out. He then thought he could have me on the straight, which he did only to find me had major braking to do foe the next roundabout which I obliged to fly past him again, then on the next straight I looked at him. Breifly. And then proceeded to see him grow smaller in my rear view mirror. His girlfriend.. Probably not impressed ;)
Have that frenchies!!!
I wonder if any of you actually find my stories slightly amusing.. Lol
