i have but i cant figure out what drive belt i need!

im using the si alternator mount so if any 1 know which 1 i need please reply as im now nearing the end of my project :thumbsup:

Should be the 1.6 Si one.

If you think about it when you do a 2.0 conversion you are basically just replacing the 1.6 block with a 2.0 block, pretty much everything else around it remains '1.6' as such.

nope, the si has the power steering wheel on the drive belt, i dont, i only have the water pump. crank pulley and alternator.

ps i started with a 1.1hcs

I see the problem. It been a few years since i had my 2.0 so just trying to remember where everything went.

Not sure the best way, of course a shorter one would do, but which is a good question. Is it not an option to fit part of the PAS system just so the pulley is there?

Yeah you can see just fitting the pump would solve the problem, as you would imagine most people just do the conversion on a 1.6 so its a none issue.

Maybe somebody else will have a better plan.

hi there,

best place to look would be kit car sites as they use the 2 litre silver top without power steering all the time!

hope that gives you a shove in the right direction!

I would look it up but I'm on my phone just now!

XR2i 1800 Zetec NON PAS engine mount, and belt will be perfect.

I didnt have pas in the pickup so I routed the pas pumps pipes around to itself so it just ran fluid round itself constantly.. worked fine, although abit pikey.

the 1 i bought was 1000mm but was a fraction too small, the next 1 they do he said was a 130, im guessing he means a 1130, which is 130mm longer, i think that may be a tad too long :(

well i got my new 1, when he said 130 he meant 13mm, but i know for a fact that's still be too small so opted for a 1075, an extra 75 may sound like a lot but i recon (and hope) that any additional slack is taken up by the tensioner :thumbsup:

also looking to botch together some coolant pipes, get the fuel lines connected to the tank and try and start her for the 1st time :D

some how i think that for whatever reason she wont but im hell bent on having her running today.

the 1.8 zetec is identical to the 1.6 zetec in the si so getting the belt for the xr2i without pas will fit a treat as that's what it's for.

I tried an XR2i non pas belt.

Didnt fit with the zetec pas mounting.

Hence why Ive ran 6 months with the pas pump still in place routing fluid around itself to stop it ceizing up.
