Tried the petrol thing

No difference.

It would start, idle rough as hell, rev rough as hell, then it would refuse to rev and cut out when I tried to.
Smoke everywhere.

Changed the crank sensor again and changed coilpacks just to see.

No change.

So I looked at the injector rails.. mark was running 2.0ltr injectors in a 1.6 rail and sandwich plate, and I have the 1.8 ho sandwich plate, so though hmmm.. and noticed the part numbers on the injector rails are different.

So fitted the rs1800 injector rail in with the rs injectors as they are basically the same.

Tried to bleed it up and guess what, its used 5ltrs of fuel while messing around with it tonight.

So I gotta wait till tomorrow to find out wether it will work, which I doubt.

I'm so tempted to take it to a garage to get looked at!!!!!!!!!!
Or set fire to it.

I read your thread and was gonna suggest injectors, as that was this issue mine had, but i had left the 1.6 ones in. Got the 2.0 ones in and it was happy. Have you removed all the EGR stuff? if so did you plug the pipe to it, but leave it conencted to the inlet manifold? Thatrs how i got mine and its happy.

id have said that exhaust back box has about the same surface areas as a std mid box..i mean what sort of person would run an exhaust that rediculous on a road car?!!! :lol: :lol:

Fitted RS1800 injectors (which work better than my 2.0ltr ones) and 2.0ltr TPS.

Idles now.. well it does with the ISCV unplugged. With it plugged in it sticks to 2k idle.

Drives okay ish, till it decides to bog down and cut out... keep the revs up high and it keeps going.

Smoking like buggery, so I kinda asume its overfueling for some reason which would explain the bogging down.

The above problems, I can only asume is dirty MAF and ISCV...... I HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANY IDEAS??!!!!!

Sorted.

Removed TB to remove the injector rail to get to the ISCV bolts with a socket.

Fitted 2.0ltr injectors while I was at it.

Cleaned the ISCV, Cleaned the MAF, Cleaned the Temp Sensor in the Inlet, Unplugged the EGR solinoid thingy and remove the pulse air thingy, blocked up both holes on the inlet manifold, instead of having the bits of pipe blocked up with them sensors still plugged in.

Now its running, no smoke, no hesitation.

Unsure of which one of the above fixed it, but hey... hopefully it'll be flawless on the road once the ECU has relearned everything :thumbsup:

BTW... 1.1 Gearbox.. fooooooook me it flys :lolz:
