Right its got one more week otherwise the Fiesta Pickup is going to the scrapyard.

2.0ltr engine is refusing to run properly.

Turn the key, revs to 3k and dies.

Faffed around and removed the maf after holding the throttle for abit and it idles slightly

Sounds like its running on 3 or maybe 2... pops and bangs and sounds like a sack, revs near enough alright tho.

So its basically un usable.

Spend 2 hours removing the inlet tonight and sealing it up as I thought it was down to an air leak, but of course in true zetec wank style it made no difference!!!!!

The idle valve is the working one which was used on my RS1800 engine, along with my TPS, so they are working.

F*ck knows whats up with it. Ive had near enough all the problems zetec can have but ive never had this before, as its just weird and doesnt run properly full stop.

apart from that, i can't see what the problem is :cry:

although my old escort si wouldn't rev past 4.5k i got the ecu reset and a new maf sensor and it worked :doh:

Will definately fit the RS1800 coilpack later as I know for a fact that was working lol.
The 2.0ltr one was fine but its been sat doing nothing for a few months now so its probably fooked.

Come to think of it when I unplugged a lead it didnt seem like it was sparking very much compared to what my rs did....

coilpack plugs and leads make no difference.

they are sparking fine.

hold the revs on and unplug each lead and you can tell the difference so its throwing some sparks in as it should.

pops and bangs like hell and ive got to hold the revs on to stop it cutting out

it must be an air leak still surely for it to pop and bang like that!?

exhaust sensor cant affect it that much i dont think

did you change the crank sensor?, it the timing ok?, and have you looked in to the injectors bled the fuel through the little shrader valve and it might be your ecu not liking the engine ohhh and the litttle earth that goes around the back of the engine to the drivers side try that as i had the same thing
