Not much to update on really...

I'm now running standard downpipe/cat with magnex catback with 3" tip. Loads better for longer journeys.

It won't be turbo for ford fair, and even though I REALLY REALLY want to turbo it, I'm not sure if I can be arsed for a while, I need to stop spending everything on cars for once and actually have money spare, soooo for now I think I may just leave it :red:

It it werent for summer and Ford Fair coming up it wouldnt be so bad.. Roll on winter, Escort Van back on road! = pickup can have its engine removed without having to worry.

Oh well, at least you'll have something to work towards over the winter, rather than doing it for ford fair then having nothing to do! (not that this is ever the case with a ford :doh:

Oh well, maybe its best to leave it for the time being and do it when your hearts properly in it. You should deffo do it one day tho mate, would be awesome! :thumbsup:

List of shite to do before Ford Fair!

Most of which I was going to leave till I did the turbo, but it needs doing ASAP, the turbo can wait till winter if I can be arsed to do it :hmm:

Remove Engine
Paint engine bay and under bonnet black
Fit PAS rack
Change Gearbox Mounts
Fit the front engine mount from alt bracket
Paint engine
New Timing Belt
Fit engine back in
Tidy the bay wiring
Fit arch liners (if I can..)

There I will have a tidy engine bay, working timed up engine, and worthy of being put in the Mags

even tho it doesnt have a turbo or even my Ashley Manifold anymore

You may have seen my other posts and my for sale thread.

Ive been getting stressed out over the Pickup being abit buggered engine mount wise.

And now some bubbles are forming around the fuel filler area.

But Ive now chilled out about it, and the bubbles can stay for all I am bothered.

Fit my new bits for Ford Fair, slag it around Ford Fair and I'll love it again

If I sell it after Ford Fair then fair enough, but if not it will be in the garage over winter and I might sort out the rust and few other little bits.

Keep it mate, with the amount of work you've put into it, it must be worth more than the price you've put it up for to you and rust is rust, just replace the filler cap and jobs done. When you see these concourse mk1 escorts etc you realise that rust can be beaten so just garage it mate and get it sorted over the winter. You would probs seriously regret selling it mate if you did.

Looks good in the latest fastford FITP article too mate, deserves a bigger pic tho imo! 8-)

Ive been everywhere and cant find a copy of Fast Ford :cry:

Going to collect my gearbox off Fizzy T tomorrow

And then the work shall begin on the engine bay overhaul on the pickup!

I might suprise some people at Ford Fair with my setup tho

Here's a couple of pics. Can't believe they didn't give you a bigger picture, your car deserves it much more than some of the cars on there! At least they put it in though 8-)

btw, try WHSmiths, they usually have fastford. :thumbsup:
