Loving the 3 wheels of the focus, but it does look like a heavy barge compared to the Clio

Cue people telling you it's easier to follow than to lead and all that.

2 very well matched cars, both better in different areas, but both the same on the road pretty much from what it seems.

really enjoyed that vid. Fair play to the clio, looks ugly compared to the FRS, but its £9K cheaper, spend that tuning it and it would piss all over the FRS. Drivers ability might change the outcome but the bloke doing the review seemed to handle it well. Clio much better on corners and underbraking, still really like the FRS though

why can't you accept the FRS is a good car to

the clio sport is good, and as most people with an ounce of knowledge know, will be a lot more nimble then the heavier focus

it could have said, Nimble Clio Sport hatch keeps with a Focus RS on an Autocar ( ) test but the Focus is still an immense car

Just means the clio is more nimble and lighter and it is, its a great car, there is one near me in green, and it looks nuts

but...

i'll take 5 seats, comfort and 300bhp (with 325lb/ft and amazing in gear performance) please ooh and 5 cylinders mental styling and the motorsport derived revoknuckle system

i know its not all about power, but the focus is a bigger, more comfortable, 5 people with ease + big boot, car when the clio is a small hatch and would struggle with that. As the Focus RS is bigger and fully loaded, it is bound not to be as nimble round a track as the clio.................

none of this is stated on here, its just " i need not say a word "

all i'm saying is, i'd take a fully loaded car with comfort etc over a hatch which will be good for a blast but not much good as a daily driver or ferrying people around.

Thats not to say its bad, i'm looking forward to a passenger ride in your clio at sixfields.

What gets me is.....its always fords getting slated......what about other marques and the fact not in here granted, as its other marques, but before this forum was created, fords were getting slated by saxo and clio drivers left right and centre

As i am quite happy to point out, the 106 gti, VTS, Megane R26.R etc etc are good cars in their own right, same as jap cars, i can appreciate that. An EK9 is an immense bit of kit. However, fords are discounted by you lot straight away....

and on the revo knuckle..... i don't believe it was hyped about such as it has been on the new RS as it can handle the 300bhp and 325lb/ft with minimal if any torque steer. Also, find me a bad review on the Focus RS

and on that note of a visitor, thats a shame, i'm yet to see one in the flesh......

its your opinion, you can choose not to like fords, and i don't and will not sit here and say they are the best....but you slag fords off like you are some sort of expert

you probably have an opinion of the focus st being crap and not being as fast as a megane etc, when every road test and review begs to differ

Theres only one reason that clio was on that focus.. and thats because the clio got brembo 4pots... i have no idea why ford didnt do that.

Have you seen the video of the FRS vs the Skyline GTR? Both have nearly the same capability on a real road except due to the GTR being heavy and track focused, apart from when a GTR comes into power exiting a corner onto a straight, so in effect, on a real road, a Clio is nearly as fast as a GTR if you beleive it all
