also thought i would slip in some pics of my new run around while the fez is off the road.

its a 1992 yamaha tzr 125cc (with the yamaha power valve fitted.
and it is very very fast for a 125cc bike i got 100mph out of it my uncle was gobsmacked following behind in his car.

she is rusting bad at the back but i have sourted that just waiting to paint the frame.
was going to get a cheap 1 litre car but thought this would be a lot better as its so cheap to run.
so leaves me a lot more time and money to go into the si.
and its fast enuf to keep a good speed for any road.

also came up with a some better ideas for getting air in the engine bay.

Instead of the stupid holes in the bonnet lip i am going to cut it back and fit a escort cosworth grill.
That way it will get more air in and look good.

Also instad of a gapeing hole were the licence plate was i have decided to change it to 2 slits instead.

I did a quick thing on paint to see wot it would look like and i think it will look ok.
All comments welcome.

ow and forgive my crappy skills on microsoft paint lol.

Image

Bear in mind this is a ruff thing the holes will have a better shape than that when done and will have black meash in so wont look to notisable.

Done a few lil bits today.

Striped the loom back to the fuel pump (will take it out fully when i figure out how to unplug it from the tank).
And 1nce it is out i have to do a few reapiars as when i took it back the the pump i noticed a lot of exposed wire and 1 bit of wire looked melted into.
i think its a the wire goin into a plug that goes to the radiator.

Decided to get the fire wall off and get all the shite out from behind it.
amazing the crap i found behind there lol.
am goin to apply some clear waxoil to this area to stop any rot.

Image
Image

took out everything from the frunt off the car and started getting any bits of sound deadning off and getting the paint back to the metal ready for the primer.
Image
Image

And a pic of the big mess that now lives in the boot lol.
will get to sourting and storing it all soon.

i just went to argos and got a heat gun m8.
wack on the heat gun and get in with the scraper get as much of the brunt off as you can.
then i just put a wire brush drill end on a drill and went to town on the rest.
the brush is good for all the nigally bits that do your head in trying to get with the scraper.

Hello fellow fiesta heads long time no update.
Well the fez has been on the back burner for a while as my time has been consumed with training.
So after some good hard long thought i decided that rite now is the wrong time to be building a project car as my time is so consumed on training and my funds being very little, so although it has been a short time in owner ship i am going to say goodbye so all work has definitely stopped and the car is in the process off turning back to its former self interior the lot.

As for the new engine front, due to some twat threading the flywheel bolts and the water pump leaking i decided to get another one and start fresh.
EBay turned up a 50,000 miler so i went for it and it turned out to be dead and would not turn over so that set me back a bit but i have a new one now and its better than the original 43,000 miles £170 all in Inc delivery HAPPY DAYS

THE DUD ENGINE

will ad pics of the new one soon.

the car as it stands.

There is still allot to do but the fez will get the next 2 weeks spent on it getting it sorted
also has any one tried to replace the oil pump while the engine is in the car ??? is there any issues with space ???
