lets see. piper, kent, newman (thier customer service and advice was spot on ;) ) company called cat cams (they have advertised in fast ford) umm those are the main ones i can think of for zetecs. some of the race engine builders do thier own cams and sell them through thier websites, dunnell etc. depends how mad you want to go. anything sensible will keep the hydraulic tappets. the larier cams require oversize solid lifters and the higher lift ones require a change of valve spring to stop bind. the general fast road ones will fit without a change in spring but anything wilder than that wont. always use new followers. plenty of cam lube and follow the running in instructions.

ooops edit dont forget to factor in the cost of vernier pulleys to fine tune the cam timing.

you do get the lumpy tick over but i think that sounds awsome i had a massive cam in with my nova just about cut out when it turned over but worth it when you hit 4000 rmp in 1st and 2nd it just lit up the tryes and that was in a 1.6 gte enginewith some other bits aswell and also 17s body kit and intsal so god knows what it would be like in a striped out nova quick im guessing
