right, i thought i had all parts required, now im a litle worried.

been thinking about PATS, where is this? is it in the ECU? the loom? or a seperate part?

reason i ask is, my fezz didnt have PATS, ive got a si loom, and mondy ECU (DEEP), now someone has said the pats is IN the ECU, so the car wont start unless i get the key for said ECU, there is no chance of this!

so, do i need to buy another ECU and the corrosponding key?

the DEEP ecu is a pre pats ECU, so theres no pats and no need to change the key etc, this is why they use the DEEP, DESK and DEWY ECUs.

if you ave the right ecu for it, it just means you will not have any imobilisation on the engine (easyer to nick it) non pats ecu non pats loom easy life if you loose the keys lol

so the engine loom (si) and my 1.1hcs loom (non pats) should be ok?

not bothered about imobilizing as i have an alarm with imobilzer that is getting fitted after she has fired up. :)

ps its a DEEP ecu :thumbsup:

cant see why it wouldnt work as long as the multi plug on the engine loom is matched to the 1.1 loom ( the one behind the edis module plate)

Only just seen this but just for clarity mouse is 100% correct :thumbsup:

you only need to use the engine loom and on that loom you will see a twelve pin connector which connects it to the main loom. chop each wire out one by one and match up as follows! also if you look in the block you will see the pins are numbered.

1 = earth to body
2 = rev counter
3 = fuel pump relay earth
4 = 4amp ignition live
5 = black/red..to..black/green=iscv
6 = ecu power from battery or fuse box
7= not used
8 = black/green= iscv ignition live
9 = brown/white=temp guage
10=blank
11=blank
12=brown=not used

you will need to make a fuel pump relay as well which literally is easy mate :thumbsup:

It is that plug, its comes through the drivers side under the header tank from the car loom/fuse box :)

As said above you can make the zetec engine loom fit that, as thats what everyone does on older cars like MK1 and MK2's.

Although personally I think you should just get a full fiesta zetec loom... cheap and easy to change, saves hassle!!

personally i would say it would be easier to get just an engine loom as there are only a few wires that need to be fused together! On the zetec engine loom on that side of the plug snipped and do as said above with the number wires as it will be sorted took me about hour my first time :)

to be honest i think i might have a mondeo loom in the shed! will check when i get home and let you know :thumbsup:
