My 2.0 was quicker than a Cooper S, was on piper cams at the time.

Was even then I hit 4k and it was over for him.

I'm led to believe the New Cooper S, with the Turbo (not Supercharger) is slightly better in the real world due to having more Torque, how true that is as TBH there not a car that intrests me really. As with most modern "Supermini's" they all weigh far too much!

Yeah the new ones are turbo alright, not sure on those ones. I presume we are all talking
about the supercharged ones.

They weigh 1150 or there abouts so not too heavy. It still wouldn't be a car I'd go for.

I have a huge urge to get a mk6 Fiesta ST and do a Focus ST conversion or something, car in white,
rims flurescent green along with the mirrors and badges....... ahhhh I'm going off on one now.

theres the mention on NA and peak power but tbh ive had both that and a turbo and i'd have the turbo

The torque i had in my focus before i learnt a lesson the hard way was the torque it chucked out standard was immense, any gear any revs you got a deep roar and it was off

Going around in a NA fiesta again it just doesn't cut it, and the mini as said it suits my mates gf perfectly need i say more

only joking, i do like the Focus ST's and of course Fiesta's different kettles of fish though the Fiesta is fun and a laugh, the Focus is understandably faster, but sensilbe

well ford were involved with my engine

the ST focus lump is a purely volvo lump

if you look under the washer bottle cap, it has a volvo stamp

Sounds like Ford can't make their own engines
