Getting rid of PATS!!!? HOW!!!!? (for megasquirt, not theif )

I need to get rid of the pats for wiring the megasquirt, but I dont know how to do it
And know where seems to say how to do it either

if you are installing megasquirt ECU you need a ignition switched live or even just a fused switch and bypass all of the orignal ford ECU/PATS requirements. only other thing you might need to do is rewire the starter motor circuit as might also be cut via the PATS system

this may be a better wiring diagramme, are you using the EDIS module and what throttle body set up are you doing?

will be using the edis module but im not running throttle bodies

just need to get rid of the pats module and wiring altogether!

you don't need to run throttle bodies, he asked what throttle body setup you're using. i take it you're using standard throttle body? if so just use the throttle position switch on the throttle body.
you really don't need to get rid of the pats, just take you're ignition switched live from the ignition switch and scrap the rest of the wiring basically,

black box glued to bulkhead behind dash IIRC. follow the wires from there to remove it.
TBH if you're running megasquirt you could basically remove all but the car based (lights, blowers etc) wiring and start a fresh with new. going on the age of majority of the looms in them now i think thats a viable option.
