Anyone built any door pods for their fiesta?
Fancy making some to fit some different speakers, or maybe 2 in each door... as you know the pickup hasnt got any rear speakers so I thought it would be interested to see what I could do with the door pods? I'm in need of abit more bass basically!

fair enough mate!! i know that they only build the holders for you though not like the whole thing just the holders then you have to screw the holders to where ever you want them to go do your own wiring etc then bobs your uncle

yes them door pods they are pre-made are well pricey, you'd be best making them yourself mate. Shouldnt be too hard for a man thats cut off a third of his car :lol:

yeah I suppose.

im not really into my sound equipment stuff so as long as I can fit maybe a small woofer and normal speaker in each door I think it will have the effect I am after... hmm...

component 6.5 inch in the front door. tweeter on the a pillar and a small 8 or 10 inch sub hidden somewhere should give you enough clout for a small car/pickup/mini skip :lol:

i've built a few pods before, and the very basics are making a few mdf rings for the speakers to sit in, then mounting them on your existing door pockets with wooden spacers to make a sort of pod skeleton(sp).
then its just a case of stretching somthing like an old sweater over them and building up the fibreglass.
once you have a few layers give it a coat of body filler, sand down and spray.
i'll have a look for some good tutorials

I have some pods identical to mouses that just need finishing off (smooth and paint/cover)
