Depends what you're after mate

Some of the most decent:

Mk6 ST
MK5/MK7 Zetec-s
Mk3 RS turbo
Mk3 xr2i
Mk3 Si
Mk2 Xr2

Easiest to make rapid is the RSturbo. The newer models are supposed to handle/brake the best.

I'd love a Mk7 zetec-s with some mental conversion though.

i like the new shape zetec s, a friend has one, whilst it aint that quick its a nice ride and pretty sexy to boot.

Mk3 RS turbo is still the fastest on paper out of the lot of them, and that includes the ST.

excuse me mk4 1.25 is faster then the mk2 xr2 lol

MK3 RS Turbo would be the best fiesta from factory wise.

Its too hard to say, as a few mods can make any of them decent.

what I found quickly...

RS Turbo 0-60 7.9secs
RS1800 0-60 8.3secs
ST150 0-60 8.3secs

that makes me happy knowing a standard rs1800 is same 0-60 as an st

ford book figure on the ST is actually 7.9

Tested in Fast Ford as 8.2 but they couldn't launch it to hard as it was a demo car

and a standard one hit 7.7 at Ford Fair last year (STOC)

i gess it depends on you really.

you could be the type that loves a drive that make's u shit your self every time u push it. wild torque steer/screeching tires/ hiar on your neak up so stiff its thinking about jumping clean of your skin and bailing out the car.

or could be the type that likes a nice smooth drive every thing controled.

the type that like courners.
the type that likes high speed.
or the type that like a bit of both.
you have to work out wot you like.

i would say the si likes the courners the most out of them.
but i would say the rs turbo is the best power wise.

but for what you pay to find a good nick rs turbo you can get a half decient si and drop a good heathy 2 litter in that will be more than capable of taking on a standerd rs turbo.

i have raced a few in my si 2 litter and it eats them bar 1 but that is 200bhp frst (well so he says) and i am left behind with my 126bhp but hope tb's will fix that.
