Ok, well i have decided to make some bonnet raisers and put them on my car to see if i like them or not, thats why im going down the DIY route for cheapness.

So, what i wanted to know is what have people used to make them DIY style? And any pics would be good. Only want to raise in an inch or so like normal bonnet raisers.

there a few ways one with the washers

another with 2 bolts and tighten one to the bonnet and then one to the bonnet hinge with a gap inbetween if you get what i mean (mines like that so will get a pic tomorrow)

a bit of metal pipeing cut to lengh and then tighten up

Cut to length, drill 2 holes, longer bolts.

Simple.

This is what mine looks like mate its an inch steel block i got ford racing ones though but you can just use some tubing and some washers and itll be fine.

1 thing make sure you use good thick as posibble washers as i has issues with the washers bending in when under g force on corners and udrafts of wind.

i made some for my car, also fitted em to sk8xtrms mk3 si, all i did was get a few washers and chuck em together, they even survived the roll.
