I put brand new Brake Pads on 4 days ago, due to my old ones cracking and being completely destroyed.

The braking hasn'd changed one bit apart from a HORRIBLE squeek when i apply preasure to the brakes ?

Anyone no what this is all about ?

they need bedding in mate, do not slam them on at high speeds, just gently brake to a stop over a longer distance for a couple of hundred miles, also slap a little copper grease on the back of the pads to stop the squeal, just DO NOT get it on the pad front, lol :thumbsup:

Sounds like you've glazed them already. Take them out and rub them down with some sand paper.

When Scott said you glazed them, he meant that you've put too much pressure on them when they first went on without bedding them in first, which glazes the surface of the pad and stops them working properly.

Whenever I do my brakes, I brake a lot earlier than I need to, with a gentle pressure which helps bed them in. Do NOT slam you brakes on and assume they''re fine straight away. Even after a few miels they still won't be bedded in. Give them a couple of hundred miles before you start braking hard! It really does help!
