Hi I'm new to this, just bought an si and i want to make it quicker, can anyone help me? i've got a new filter what else can i get?

De-cat, stainless exhaust, different manifold. superchip if you want.

a 2 litre engine?

the 1.6 is untuneable

you could get an exhaust to free it up a bit

Cheaper and easier to drop in the following engines...

1.8 zetec 105/115ps spec (and upgrade to 130spec with some cheap parts)
1.8 zetec 130ps spec (rs1800 / escort gti)
2.0 zetec 136ps
1.6 cvh turbo 130ps standard

Sounds weird , may be worth giving it a damn good service too , its surprising what a fresh set of plugs and a oil change can do !

Although as previously said , dont expect any miracles. it is only a 1600cc engine at the end of the day. There aint no replacement for displacement ! (unless you go turbo / supercharged)

Although .... How would a 1.6 Zetec react to Nitrous ????

Ok thanks people, i will have a look around and see what i can get. would parts off an RS turbo fit and would it make it faster?
