right bit hard to explain but when im driving at a steady speed the steering wheel is straight,wen i put my foot down the steering wheel becomes bent to go straight if ya know what i mean,then wen i take my foot of the pedal n it slows it pulls bk the opposite way and then the steering wheel becomes straight again.wen i put my foot down the car wants to pull to one side buthe the steering weel goes the opposite way to stay staright ,really hard to explain but anyone got any suggestions

well i dont have to bang my foot down ,i can build up gradually until bout 3-4k n then it pulls ova then the wheel twists

Could it not be a worn track rod end causing abit of movement under power?

cnt fink of anything really part from maybe the rack or track rod ends,jus been out in it n its allova the place....same side yes steady cornerin left its ok till you put ur foot down on the corner n it wants to put u in the hedge just doesnt feel stable at all n i just want it fixed

other possibility would be lower arms

100% bottom arm m8 i would change both dude if the it pulls to the right and the steering wheel goes the opposite ways its usually the elft ar mand visa versa hope this helps

i said they could be the bottom arms but as he only replaced them a few weeks ago i couldnt see how it could be the bottom arms.
we jacked the car up yesterday with the front off the ground there is no play but on the passenger side when turning the wheel there is a loud squeek as you turn the steering from side to side and if you hold the steering wheel central and try and turn the wheels by hand the passenger side has a little bit of play, hence we thort it was the steering rack or track rod end.

Could be the cv joint, or wheel bearing. If there's play, grab the track rod end and give it a shake in all directions to see if it's loose where it connects to the hub. If it feels tight, then I'd go for either the cv joint or wheel bearing.

need a passenger side drive shaft if anyones got a decent one for sale..for a 1.6 si
