Ok random question i know but can anyone have a look at there fuel pump wires under there rear seats or if stripped even better.lol

Now there are four wires from the pump...two are earths!! can anyone find me where the earth cable is attached to the chassis from the pump...it should be close to that area :) :D :D :D

I'm sure I never had an earth connecting around that area mate. (well I didnt when fitting the zetec loom to the pickup)

I'm fairly certain all the wires go back into the wiring loom down the drivers side of the car and then to the various places it goes within the loom :lol:

i could of told you when we were stripping out the loom from my fez, but didn't see where they were removed from :lolz:

:doh: damn! i know in total there are four wires in the protective sleeve then all come out the end of the sleeve then the two earths connect up to the chassis somewhere! probably around the drivers seat area i would expect as i think there was one around there on mine just needed clarity for my loom.lol If it does go back to the loom where on earth does it connect up to becuase haynes say its earth :doh:

If you are certain they are earths, does it really matter where they connect to the chassis?

As long as they get a good connection to bare metal then they will act as earths!

you are right.lol i just wanted to see if i can get clarity as ive been trying to work this out for ages what this minor fault with my car is, its only a small issue but its confusing me that much its annoying me loads!!!!
