To be honest mate, I've loved this car for ages, remember it from Cruise-evo.co.uk a while back.

Absolutely stunning.

Now it's got some power to it, it's even better. Loving your work.

I felt so unsafe when we went out in the red 'thing'.

Another weekend passes and it gets closer to deadline day....

This weekend it was time to cut the battery tray out and also get the fans mounted and fit my new -31 actuator also had the roose hoses to fit.

Here are a few pics of the days progress

As we stared Nose in the bodyshop out of the wind

So we started out come the angle grinder









After quite a while cutting swearing and allsorts the Battery tray was cut out.... Then it was time to sand down the old welds flat and smooth with belt sander and treat with rust killer after that was dry it was time to mask up the area and paint the inner chassis leg











Then the finshed article was done



Whilst this was happening i also painted the horn braket and with my Dad mocked up ome mounts to fit the 2 fans to the alloy rad (pics to follow of these)

As it was such a hard busy day we thought we best treat the dog to a day out so this is what she thought lol....

I have a few questions to ask and peoples opinions too.... I have never been a massive fan of Shiny intercoolers + Rad so was thinking of painting them black what do you guys think...?? more sleeper ish...

black gets my vote, but i'm wondering if having them black would mean there is too much black, maybe the silver would break up the black a little?

I wouldnt paint the IC, it would affect the cooling abilities. If anything use black mesh over them.

Well it has been a long time since i have been on here..... First of all i would like to say a massive thanks to JayRS as he was a top bloke helping me out gettting the car running. also a massive thanks to beefchops too for supplying me with an engine perfectly described in the ad.

Well update time.....!!

Managed to get the car running after massive amounts of problems with wrong CPS and boss's also the coil pack too... Finally all sorted with a swap of wire and she fired straight up

So everything sorted. Gave her a service, new tappets and she ran like a dream... I love Chatter So off i went to RS Central day....

Was a great show met a few faces and saw a good standard of fiesta's...

Then the trip home.... Was taking a gently trip home with my Dad and Mate both in ERST's when some chav in a chicken paxo.... was been a total C**K so decided to put him in his place... (red mist) After seen him off was a knocking nosie coming from the bottom end.... So limped car home totally Pi$$ed off!!

Next day decided to take the sump off and have a look see what was what.... So off come the sump only to see my worst nitemare..!! big end knocking...!! so took off the big end to see... No bearing...!! GREAT!
So pushed the piston up and there it was the 2 bearings together.... looked like a bit of tin foil...

Next was to measure the crank to see how bad the damage was... and surprise surprise it was fcuked....! would of needed as re grind to .75 (was already .5)

So the hunt began for either a crank or another engine.... After getting a few prices i took the decision to get another lump which i got from beefchops

So yet again DTR was having an engine change...!!! So bank holiday monday the engine was swapped....

Next show was FITP.... Spent a good few hours washing and cleaning and what i thought was a good show... Saw more old faces and had a good laugh...

As a mate of mine wanted a few pics of his car we decided to have a bit of a photo shoot...
