knew i wasnt going to be disapointed looks good fresh look for the next load of track days :thumbsup:

also wot shell are you using at the mo is it a mk3 or mk3.5 also are you running power seering.

as i hate the power steering in mine well i hate power steering all together i like it for every day driving but for getting the peddal down its crap for me feel a lot more at home with out it.
so i was wondering if a xr2i steering setup from a mk3 would fit in my mk3.5 :hmm:

also how hard was it to do the Ib5 to the s2 diff as your a well more experiaced mecanic than me.

as i have thought about doing to mine to get longer rev's in the gear's and get some grip :devil: with out spending stupid money on aftermarket diffs that are just way to over the top for my spec at the mo but 1 day maybe i will have the spec that will make 1 worth while lol :thumbsup:

Thanks HOG, glad you like it mate

Im using the MK3.5 shell now, and I didnt fit the power steering rack, not enough room for belts pumps etc... anyway, so I fitted the MK3 steering rack, no probs with a new universal coupling

The series 2 LSD goes straight into the IB5 box no probs, and you can choose your own final drive ratio . If youre looking for top speed, then use the series 2 RST crown wheel and pinion which has a 3.8 :1 final drive. I use a 4.2:1 in my IB5 box for more acceleration and less top speed ( never had it in 5th gear on track anyway) The RST LSD has a 8 bolt diff , like all the later IB5 boxes , so you can match up what you like , or for ultimate top speed, Diesel MK4 box which has a final drive of 3.6:1 ( I think)

emlyn I see what you mean about the blue, did consider it, but thought id leave it the now and see how it turned out

the car got a lot of attention at crail yesterday, and had a lot of good feedback about the new colour scheme

The new gearbox I fitted , wasnt what i expected,didnt feel any quicker and was a nitemare to change gears from 2nd to 3rd, so its coming back out this week, and the IB5 box back in,

Emlyn may just put some orange graphix on the car , just or you mate :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

remember though that the new garphix on the bonnet , and side , the colot is the dyno- rod florescent red( almost orange) and does look better in the metal than the pics, just wait till you see it at ford Fair, have faith my friend :lol:
