changing clutch rachet tomorrow, anyone got any tips of how to go about doing this job... ive heard from vairous people that its one major hard job... anyone got any tips or experince on how to do it or an easy way of going about doing this slightly worried as i dont want to get it apart and it all go tits up!!! so yeah if you or know of anything to help me on my way all help will be apprecitated!!!

i did mine around a month ago n it was the biggest pain in the arse eva
two nuts in the engine bay for the pedal box tucked behind the inlet...pain in the arse to get to
clips...pain in arse to get bk on
i thort id found an easier way as u can take half the pedal box off were the clutch pedal bolts to..but its shaped funny so youstil cnt get it off

at least you can take the pedal off on a fiesta, ask RS Baz about mk4 escort clutch ratchets

right, ive got the 2 nuts off from the bluk head..... and have removed the R pin and now cant get the pedal off im stuck.... plz help...

I remember doing this years ago on my Fiesta, and what a c*nt it is to do!!

The mere fact that this is one of the two jobs I can remember doing (The other being the engine mounts btw.) means that it is a PITA.

all I can say is persevere, and wiggle things in al directions and it will come apart! It may be easier to take the drivers seat out so you have more room to move about under there!

i remember doing or trying to do this on my fez, never again!

i had to get help as i have a bad lower back and where the driver seats mounts there's that god awful hump/ridge that was putting pressure on my back

but this might help you out if you aint got one already that is, i started following how to do it in the haynes manual

u need to pull the pin out that holds the pedals on...unclip the accelerator pedal then undo the 4 bolts right at the topof the pedal box and the 2 on the inside of the bulk head..
theres also anotha r clip between the brake pedal and box and obviously the one on the end of the clutch pedal
