just got down to 30 mpg driving with a very heavy foot for 260mi usually get 35 - 40 not bad for a 12 y o 175 bhp petrol

im average of about 50 mpg i think. on motorways im sure i might crack the 60 mpg though.

if i spend more than £30 a month on fuel it's a blue moon.

I struggle to empty my car of fuel now i put £20 in other day done 150 miles and lights just come on to say i got 50 miles to go on combined

do about 55mpg on the motorway

35 mpg motorway

27 mpg usual

but when i first got the cossie i stuck a little bit of fuel in then headed to jamiecliffe1988's place, i think that weekend i managed roughly 32mpg*!

how do i work this out properly (poverty spec, no trip computer etc).

If you still have your 106 it has a 10 gallon capacity so just divide your total trip mileage from when you filled up to when the light touches down by 10. So if you filled up and then you managed 420 miles to a tank, you have roughly done 42 to the gallon. It's very rough but worked for me.

On the flip side I've managed an impressive sub 10 MPG out of the diesel
