Hi guys, my newly aquired Si runs pretty perfect, other than that at idle the revs are up and down a bit and sometimes struggles to keep ticking over, and also it has stalled pulling up to a junction or two.

Is this a common problem? And is it easily solved?

to me it sounds like your ISCV needs a clean, your ISCV sits under your throttle body on your inlet manifold, you'll need to unbolt it and clean it with carb or brake cleaner, when its off spray a load into the ISCV and leave it too sit for about 5 mins then repeat again, then re-fit :D

, might as well clean your maf while your at it

I'll give that a go, you mean just unplug the connector?

i had a lambda issue once and if let my car go under a certain rpm it would cut out and die :| , replaced the lambda and it sorted that issue out

but yeah just unplug it, the connector should be on some clips on the slam panel under the rad( looking from underneath the car)

Nice one, I'm building a list of things to do when I get the car back lol.

Clean MAF sensor.
Clean ISCV.
If theres still problems unplug the Lambda.

Buy and fit clear side repeaters.
Fit lowering springs.
Fit FSi Stickers.

I'm well excited lol.

Mine does exactly what you have described mate, when the engine is cold it sometimes struggles to stay ticking over and has stalled at junctions a couple of times. Let me know how you get on and what fixes the problem. 8-)

I cleaned the maf and the iscv, nothing much different. Unplugged the lambda and started it up, I'm not sure if it made any difference because I didn't actually drive anywhere, would it be safe to drive for a bit with it unplugged? Just to see if its that?

Not sure if it would be the lambda anyway. I've got a brand new one on mine and it still does it anyway
