have thought about that one, not got a resolution yet any thoughts? not a great problem as only out for trackdays currently protected by a tesco bag! but thinking of a screen/deflector just below the grid to deflect and rain

Yeah I guess a type of sheild (like a heatsheild infact) would do the job of keeping the water from dropping straight into the filter :)

Make one/fit one and throw a bucket of water on the car and see how wet it gets afterwards to test it? (obviously with engine off :P )

the tyres are 195/50/15 and all in weigh about 2kg more per wheel/tyre, may be more issue with rubbing on the front but look like they goin to stick like ......

Superb tyres they're really gonna make a difference.

One thing to consider, I was talking to a chap at my track day the other week, he had an M reg RS1800 using Toyo 888's and he said that they are soo grippy that on the fast bends at Snetterton they destroy the front wheel bearings. To such an extent that a new one that day was ruined by the end of the day.

May be worth having a checking them for taking it on track.

PS - If you ever want to get rid of your old wheels......

Thats how it was.

Must just still have then tension in the handbrake from where you had it jack'd up.

Yeah 30mm.

I'm pretty sure it's just the hubs that they change, not the strut or anything.
The Mondeo Si shape the bubblie one I think but will find out for sure and let
you know. They might need shims as the shocks are thicker on mondeo's iirc.

Ive had it back on the road again for a couple of weeks now, it to been running ok but today had it on a Rolling Road to check the fueling and power.

as a track day car seems a worth while mod :)

The graphs Red line is with the individual throttle bodies, Blue line is an overlay of previous run with the orignal inlet manifold and throttle body.

as you can see its current lost torque but breaths better at the top end with a healthy 148bhp @ 6250rpm from standard engine with tubular manifold and cone filter, now pulls an additional 10mph in top.
Also talking to the RR operator thinks drop in torque may be ignition map, which may be down to me using the GSXR TPS which has a max 3.8ohm resistance compared to 4.2ohm of the ford item so at full throtle ECU only on the 90% throttle map never 100%.
