If you want to avoid warranty issues youll need a 2nd exhaust system (standard) from the front of the cat
then you can take it to a local garage like i do and pay £20 to bolt my standard one on

If i were to have a kit then it would only be the 185 kit personally, but there are kits from code red etc that come with their own warranty of a year i believe if you want that

But a cat back exhaust cuts the original system

ah we'll see.........



although i am not high risk there has been complusory redundancy notices given out round my work,so if that happens it will be up for sale as i couldn't afford to keep it

K+N is fitted, but was done in pitch black last night, as i am a fussy bugger, so i'll get pics asap

mole can vouch for this, you should have seen the size of the airbox that came off no wonder its so restrictive, and by removing it you gain upto 10bhp it looks much better without the big airbox on also and it is easy to swap back to standard when the need arises

its pretty quiet until 3000rpm, then steadily gets louder, as you would espect just need to fit the cold air feed now, which is being done tomorrow, which will give me full benefit

the only thing is i can't put a K+N sticker on my car as that may give the game away

Glad you like it i was right wasn't i? the airbox on them is rediculously small a bit like my Zetec S, it can't be much bigger than my fist

No more plans as yet, as i need to save anyway, but was thinking of window tints light on the rear sides and medium on the rear window. Any one know if the warranty will be affected?

After that its debate over whether to pay fords prices to lower it and maybe an ST185 kit to keep the warranty but its a bloody £1000 premium nearly over the £1635 ST190 pumaspeed package

did the de-tango job make a big visual difference?

yeah it looks much better

at the time when i had the wrong bulbs and white indicators was dodgy but it looks good, just a few scratches on the lense but nothing major

........to get the rear light done at some point where ford have used clips on these lights as opposed to 10mm nuts of old, the clip has started to come off the passenger side rear light but it means taking the K+N off so it may wait a bit

Good old FixOrRepairDaily...

But didn't expect it from a brand new ST to be quite honest.
